UCI Para-cycling Track World Championship The 2018 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championship will be held in Rio de Janeiro at the Velodrome from the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships are the world championships for track cycling where athletes with physical and visual impairments compete, organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). * Most important Para-cycling track competition after the Paralympic Games * Points for the overall nations’ ranking are distributed * The UCI awards a gold medal and a rainbow jersey to the winner and silver and bronze medals to the second and third * Around 35 participating nations and 200 athletes * 31 medal events over 4 days of competition More info on the official UCI site
